PVAAS

The PVAAS scores means Pennsylvania Value Added-Assessment System. PVAAS is a statistical analysis of Pennsylvania state assessment data, and provides Pennsylvania districts and schools with growth data to add to achievement data. From the information we received, Esperanza’s high school and middle school had increased the scores for all of the tested subjects! The high school received a rating of dark blue for all tested subjects: Biology, Algebra 1, and Literature. The middle school received a rating of dark blue for all tested subjects: Math and English Language Arts for 6th grade; Math and English Language Arts for 7th grade; and Math, English, Language Arts, and Science for 8th grade. Dark blue means that there is significant evidence that the school exceeded the standard for PA academic growth. This means that all of our teachers were able to move students forward academically. We genuinely congratulate all of the students and teachers for all of their hard work. We also sincerely thank the teachers and administrators for constantly working to modify lessons and make the best curriculum possible. We all wish for us to continue getting dark blue on future PVAAS reports!
